Being Coachable and Teachable

Learning is a big catalyst to being coachable and teachable. Teachers teach the people that want to learn.  If they don't want to learn, the teacher isn't teaching.

I've heard this and I got this from a mentor of mine. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Now create a picture of being ready to learn. Just imagine if you're in a position of being a teacher. We've all been taught, whether we want to or not. Just imagine if you were that teacher instead, and you saw someone that was ready to learn, what would they look like?

They might have a pen and paper. When you're ready to take note, then you're ready to learn. It is that zeal for learning that exemplifies that you're teachable and coachable.

Now at the same point, as I play this out a little bit more, the person that sits back with their their arms crossed and their brow wrinkled, that person's denying what that teacher is saying. They're losing an opportunity to grow. They're losing an opportunity to be taught.

It's not enough to be coachable or teachable. You have to have a learning demeanor.

Learning is a big catalyst to being coachable and teachable.

When you're ready to take note, then you're ready to learn.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.
