Excellence Matters

Even if you can't see excellence, you can feel it.

We're conditioned as people to strive for excellence. I'm listening to a book right now and it talks about this idea that if you have a messy room, just how out of sorts it makes you. You really have this pension towards having it somewhat neat and orderly.

That is a human function and desire. We inherently strive for excellence, even if we have sloppiness and some people are like, "Oh, it doesn't matter." Excellence is the result of something that's well taken care of. Even if you can't see it, you can feel it.

My desire is that I go through life with integrity and people see that I have a desire for excellence. I may fall short at times, but my desire is to strive for excellence and that's internal. I value others. Part of valuing others is knowing that I'm going to put in the work for it.

It's being humble, knowing it matters. It's valuing others and valuing yourself.

That's why excellence matters.
