If You Choose to be Buried, It's Your Choice
If you choose to be buried, it's your choice.
The dirt that could bury you is the dirt you can use to get out of the hole.
I heard a story this morning about a farmer. He had a donkey and his donkey fell into the well.
The farmer declared, "I can't get him out. So, you know what? We're going to bury the donkey in there and move on." The farmer asked a few friends to help him fill in this well with dirt.
The group started throwing shovelfuls of dirt in there, shovelfuls, and not big dumps, just shovelfuls. The donkey, as the shovelfuls of dirt were falling down on him, said, "Oh, they're trying to bury me down here." The donkey shakes off the dirt and steps on it. They kept throwing in the dirt, and the donkey kept shaking it off, and stepping on it.
Well, imagine what happened. The dirt level got higher and higher.
Finally the donkey was standing on top and walked out of the well.
Don't be the one that lets the dirt in life bury you. Be the donkey that steps out of the well.
