Mindset of Motivation

Being motivated is rooted in simply the act of discipline.

As I’ve mentioned, I grew up on a farm. Trust me, I fought it. I knew a lot of people that played sports, and they developed that discipline.

It's a discipline that's developed at a very young age, and you have to realize, "Hey, in order to progress and get better, I’ve got to do the hard work." There’s anticipation that you're going to grow and get better.

There's someone who loves to help people do that. My anticipation is to see others grow and develop and accomplish things they never thought they could. My purpose is to help people learn and grow as a person so I can show people what I've been able to do.

My motivation is to be better today than I was yesterday, with the intention to grow and learn and forgive myself for where I've fallen short, so I can be better tomorrow than I am today.

And I encourage you to take on the mindset of “I am motivated.” Own it and seek that foundation of motivation into anticipation of what you get to do today. What do you get to share with others? What do you get to take part in? What do you get to contribute to?

To me, that's all the motivation I need. I don't need somebody loud, up and jumping, clapping in my face. I get to wake up every day and know that I'm grateful, and I'm open, and I hope you too can choose a mindset of motivation.
