Say the Words that Need to be Said

Refrain from just talking. Rather, say the words that need to be said.

I was listening to a story this morning and it was about this gentleman. His dad was in the hospital, and he walked into the hospital. His dad laid in the bed. His dad didn't know it was him who walked in, he thought it was the doctor. He said, "Oh doctor, thank you for being here. Have you seen my son? I can't wait to introduce you to my son. He's just this amazing athlete. He's an amazing business person."

One of the things that his son realized is, his dad had never said those things.

He didn't even remember a day that his dad came to a football game, that he ever knew anything about business. His son just had this hole in his soul his entire life. At that moment, he was absolutely invigorated because his dad said the things that he always wanted him to say to him, yet, his dad never said it.

So I use that as an encouragement to you is just don't talk. Rather, say the words that need to be said. Tell someone you believe in them. Encourage them. Make someone smile. That absolutely changes their life.

Refrain from just talking.

Rather, say the words that need to be said.
