Maximize Social Capital

To maximize social capital, people and brands need to maximize customer service.

The biggest currency in our society today is social capital. You know, that's trust influences displayed through social capital. The quickest way to burn that is poor customer service.

I find that a lot of times, people engage with brands that are exceptional at customer service because it holds tight that social capital. If I refer something to somebody, I know they're going to be well taken care of.

Whether it's a personal brand or a brand that you engage with, you have an opportunity to be a link in that chain of customer service. 

There are ways that I can improve in customer service. I know it and recognize it.

If you recognize it as a barrier, then you're apt to be able to attack it and fix it. If you don't recognize it, if you're oblivious to it or it's a blind spot, then you can never address it.

Social capital is our number one currency today. The greatest way to enhance social capital is by exceptional customer service, whether that is in your personal brand,  a brand you represent or whatever else.
