The Struggle Today Prepares You For The Challenges Tomorrow

The struggle today prepares you for the challenges for tomorrow.

Maybe you've heard me say before, "Part of my drive is to be better today than I was yesterday with the intention to be better tomorrow than I was today."

But I know if I don't have problems, if I don't have obstacles, if I don't have struggles today, the opportunity to get better tomorrow is not there.

I read something this morning from John Maxwell, and he talked about how it's our resistance that allows us to propel forward. Think about it.

He said, "The greatest resistance for a boat is the water it sits in. But without the resistance of the water, the boat would go nowhere. It's like an eagle soaring through the sky. Its greatest resistance is the air, but yet without that air,  if it were in a vacuum, it would fall to the bottom."

We're no different.

We're the same.

The struggles that we endure and the struggles that we go through today give us the opportunity to overcome the challenges that will be there tomorrow.

So if you're looking around today and do not see struggles, challenges, and difficulties, you're not going to be better tomorrow. Sometimes, we have to seek that out. Sometimes, we have to find those struggles.

I'll be honest, if it's just easy sailing, then it's downhill. A wise man once said, "Everything worthwhile is uphill."

The struggle is the challenge that allows you to succeed and accomplish tomorrow.

The struggle today prepares you for the challenges for tomorrow.

The struggles that we go through today give us the opportunity to overcome the challenges that will be there tomorrow.
