Build Rather Than Tear Down
If you're playing a game and say the game is ‘I want to own the biggest building in the world.’
There are two ways to get there, as I've learned in stories, is you can tear down to all the other buildings, so your building's the tallest, or you can build your building and go taller and taller and taller.
If you want to make yourself a bigger person, grow, and seem more significant, there are two ways to do it. You can tear down the people around you. That's not going to help you get bigger, quite honestly.
Or you can grow yourself. When you grow yourself, you can't help but develop others.
As you grow, they grow; everyone grows.
