Growth Over Goals

No goal ever meant as much as the growth it took to achieve what we never thought we could.

This morning, I was listening to a podcast with Mark Cole and Chris Goede, co-hosts on the John Maxwell Leadership podcast; John shares his ideal of growth over goals.

Do you have this growth perspective?

When I first heard the ideology, I was like, “ok, let me grab hold of it.”

I am a growth-focused person. My adage is I want to be better today than I was yesterday, working out to be better tomorrow than I am today. It is a daily focus.

But I must remind myself not to lose sight of goals because they can be markers along the path.

Even if we don’t hit goals, we can grow along the path.

Growing means more than any goal that we ever accomplished.
