Choose to be resilient rather than numb.
If we look at a tough situation, if we decide to go through life and we're just going to numb out, whether it's through substances or just your mental state, you're not building any resilience, you're not building any strength. You're just choosing to just shut it off. That's not going to make you better.
Choose resilience. When you're resilient, you see the truth, and you appreciate it. You know that if you force through this, if you get yourself through it, if you open your arms and ask for others for help, you’re going to be stronger. You’re going to be better, and so is everyone else around you. When you're numb and you’ve turned it all off, it doesn't serve anyone.
Choose to be resilient because that's how you can serve others.
