Document Your Fears

Until we document the fears we have and with whom we have them, we are powerless to overcome them.

Fear is something we all have. Fear is never going to leave us.

Now, it can be healthy. We can overcome that fear.

That fear I've shared with you before is the fence line on the edge of the pasture you're in. Often, it shocks, and it hurts, and you need to get through it.

I made a list this morning about my fears. What fears or feedback am I going to get that I don't want to have? But more importantly, who do I have those with?

Now, I can sit here and say there's not a lot of people that I feel concerned or fearful about. Maybe one or two, and a lot of that is quiet, and it's just past hurt.

I think what's important is, I'm going to go through the practice today of recording those fears because until I write them down, they're just taking up a lot of mental space.

Once I write them down I realize, oh, they're not that big.

Until we document the fears we have and with whom we have them, we are powerless to overcome them.
