The Beginning is About Action, Not About Timing
The beginning is about action, not about timing.
The best time to start is whenever you decide to start.
I have found in my past I feel like I have to be good enough to start. I have to either know enough, or I have to have things in place to start.
I started a podcast and book club, and I have to stop and appreciate it by saying, “Hey, a start is a start.”
I have the desire and the commitment to get better at it. It isn't a finished product. I understand that it's a start.
Those that are on the journey with me, I say, "Hey, bear with me. I will get better. Help me get better."
When we start, we think it's got to be perfect. It's got to be the perfect timing.
Instead, "Just start."
Don't worry about it.
Let it be a hot mess.
As a mentor of mine has said, "Every master was once a disaster."
So the beginning is about action, not about timing. It's about doing, not about perfecting.
