Working on Your Inside

If you're perfect on the outside, but you're just crud on the inside, it's all for not. You're not going to make an impact. You're not going to last in relationships long.

As I've gotten older and I’ve focused on saying, "How can I work on my inside?,” not only have I become more comfortable with myself, but what I've seen is people around me become more comfortable with me. Therefor, I'm able to share those lessons and journeys and experiences, and I'm finding that's where I make an impact.

It's not the trophy, the award, or the accomplishment. Those won't get you there. Those don't make an impact. Those are just short little blips in time.

It's what you do out of service from your inside that affects everything on the outside. If your desire to feel value and worth is based on accomplishment only, the costs will be tremendous. If you find yourself saying, "Look at me, look at me," as opposed to, "Hey, how can I connect? How can I create a change and lower that barrier that you have?,” I encourage you to think about that.

I've recognized that my barriers are why I can make an impact. I need to continue to work on my inside so anything that occurs outside can make an impact.

Where can you grow on the inside? If you do that, you'll make a more significant impact outside.

It's not the trophy, the award, or the accomplishment. Those won't get you there.

It's what you do out of service from your inside that affects everything on the outside.

I need to continue to work on my inside so anything that occurs outside can make an impact.
