Choose to be Authentic and Heartfelt

Quirky attempts at engagement have run their course. Choose to be authentic and heartfelt.

Now, I was talking to a friend and he was referencing the office situation, where you have the ping pong table. You have the beer on tap. You have whatever it may be. It's like, people start to see through that. Maybe that's your culture. That's fine.

But if you're using that to entice and engage, and as we're evolving, cultures and communities evolve. And, you know, people would much rather have something heartfelt and authentic as opposed to cheesy and just kind of appealing to the masses.

So as I encourage you as a leader, as someone in this world, be authentic. Be real. Be heartfelt. Take that option over quirky and goofy, and what you think is just going to appeal to people. Instead, find out what works for them.

What are they enticed by that speaks to their heart? And really in this day and age, that's what is more valuable.
