Creating a "No List"

Creating a "No List" will yield greater returns.

It's not what you say yes to. It's always what you say no to. If you say no to all the right things, then saying yes is easy. If you say yes to everything, if you become the "yes man," then no one knows who you are.

I have a friend who is launching a business. He's trying to launch a product. He's trying to do things. He's launching this podcast and this brand. Anyone that wants to throw money at him and sponsor him, he takes. It’s kind of confusing because I constantly see he's just taking money from everyone.

People are confused about what he stands for and who he is. I want to say to him as a friend, "man, what you say no to is more important than what you say yes to. If you're saying yes to everything, then your audience can’t figure out who you are and what you stand for.”

I want to share with you this idea of knowing what you stand for. What are you about? What does your story tell? How does it connect with people? You're not going to connect with everyone.

You only need to connect with the one.
